Medical "sharps" (needles, lancets) must not be placed in household garbage containers for curbside pickup. Approved containers are available at the Leon County Health Department for Leon County residents.  For more information on proper sharps disposal, please click here.

Unwanted Medicines (prescription or over-the-counter) must NOT be flushed down the toilet.

Please follow the Florida DEP guidelines for unused/expired medicine disposal.

Hazardous Waste Roundups are provided as an additional service.
