The Leon County Public Information
Office (PIO) maintains routine contact with all local news media
outlets, prepares and disseminates Leon County news and information via
news releases, notices and other publications, manages news conferences
and events, and oversees the content of Leon County's website.
Additionally, the PIO coordinates the
County’s Neighborhood Recognition Program, and PIO
staff work regularly with neighborhoods and neighborhood associations. A PIO representative attends monthly neighborhood association meetings to
discuss issues and exchange information.
The PIO also maintains a database and
mailing list of neighborhood and homeowners associations in Leon County.
