The Division of Intergovernmental Affairs provides coordination and assistance to the Board of County Commissioners, and ensures that Public Service divisions receive the resources, guidance and support they need to best serve the community.

 

Intergovernmental Affairs functions include:

  • Serve the County Administrator and the Board by researching, analyzing and developing policy recommendations for the County's high priority issues.

  • Develop and implement the Board's annual Federal and State legislative priority package and monitor all legislative issues impacting Leon County.

  • Assist in Countywide program research, development, and implementation.

  • Provide leadership, assistance and coordination to Public Service divisions to facilitate efficient and cost effective service delivery.
     

  • Staff the Public Safety Coordinating Council
