OUR MISSION
The mission of the Primary Health Care program is to effectively serve the residents of Leon County by providing health care services to low income and uninsured Leon County residents in an efficient and cost effective manner.

WHO WE ARE
Leon County funds health and human service programs for which County participation is mandated by the State of Florida. They include: the Medicaid Match program, the Health Care Responsibility Act and the Indigent Burial Program. In addition, grants are awarded to community-based service providers who demonstrate successful prevention and intervention strategies that serve to reduce these costly mandates.

The Leon County Board of County Commissioners is a partner in the CareNet program. CareNet is a collaboration of public and private sector partners that provide access to primary healthcare, as well as specialty care services to uninsured residents.
