Jackson View Park Grand Opening

The Leon County Board of County Commissioners hosted a Grand Opening Celebration for Jackson View Park and its new playground equipment on April 24.

Leon County’s newest park is located at 2585 Clara Kee Blvd., off of North Monroe St., just north of Perkins Road. Features include a mile long, looping walking trail, an observation pier, and 12 covered picnic tables scattered throughout the landscaped park. The playground equipment, designed for children ages five to 12 years old, is comprised of a swing set, climbers, slides, activity stations and more. Both the walking trail and the rubber surface of the playground are handicap accessible.

Children from the nearby Wee Care child care center attended the celebration and thoroughly enjoyed the new park.
